The St Geneve James Bay Down Duvet (Tencel Cover) contains down from wild geese in the brave Canadian North. The Cree First Nations collect this special down under license from the Canadian Government. The down itself, especially in this quality of cluster, is actually more rare than the famous Eiderdown. Now in an updated version with a light, silky-to-the-touch Lyocell (Tencel) cover that boasts a lovely drape.
With it’s superb insulating power, James Bay Duvets are rated at a 700 loft, yet perform at the equivalence to a 900 or greater loft. It is the absolute rarest down available anywhere in the world. It’s ability to keep you warm and cozy is sublime. The James Bay Down is hand collected, sorted and cleaned in small batches. St Geneve supports the traditional practices employed by the Cree First Nations. Winter Weight duvets are often much too warm for modern living conditions. Care Instructions
- Always protect your duvet with a quality duvet cover
- Keep your down duvet fresh by hanging it outside on a nice day, 2-3 times a year
- Hang your duvet in indirect sunlight
- If you must wash your duvet, have it dry cleaned by a reputable cleaner
- Air out a dry-cleaned down duvet before use
- For spot cleaning, move the down fill away from the soiled area
- Spot wash with a mild, chemical-free soap
- Rinse the affected area thoroughly with water and dry thoroughly
- Make sure the down fill is completely dry
- Any clumps of down should be pulled apart and dried again
- When storing your duvet, ensure it is kept in a breathable container, bag or fabric
