The Soma Organic Slat Foundation is the perfect support system for your new Soma natural rubber mattress.

This mattress base can be configured to be stand-alone with the use of it’s thick, solid wood legs, or the legs can be removed and the base can be placed inside of your favourite bedframe for a seamless look. Have your choice between a high-profile or low-profile look. It is important for the longevity and comfort of your organic mattress to have the correct support system underneath. Built with FSC certified Canadian wood, these bases provide maximum support and airflow for breath-ability. The Organic Slat Foundation is built using solid wood and nails, as opposed to synthetic materials and glues. All Soma Organic Slat Foundations are Made in Canada.

The Soma Organic Slat Foundation is built precisely for your organic mattress’ weight, ideal comfort level and longevity. The organic base (or “boxspring”) provides the correct support for the natural rubber layers, while allowing maximum airflow throughout. The solid slat system provides a firm surface for the rebound of the natural rubber layers and avoids warping and stretching the rubber in the long-term. The Organic Slat Foundation respects the warranty requirements of your organic mattress and ensures longevity of your mattress. It is very important to have adequate support for your organic mattress.

This base is available in a 4″ and 7″ height profile. The 7″ version is our most popular and compatible with most bedframes.

Availability, Shipping & Delivery

The Organic Slat Foundation is typically made-to-order and requires between 2-3 weeks for production. While Ontario customers can expect shorter delivery times, all Canadian customers can expect delivery within 2-7 days from date of purchase (time is dependant on your location). This product qualifies for FREE shipping and handling across most locations in Canada.
