The Green Sleep Vasilo Organic Cotton Mattress Protector is a great tool for protecting your favourite Green Sleep mattress. Made utilizing stretch knit organic cotton fibres, this material is then quilted between two pliable, soft organic cotton jersey layers. Maintaining a thin profile, the Vasilo allows the contour of your natural rubber layers to be consistent and un-changed, while still protecting your mattress encasement from being tarnished by sweat and body oils. It is also protective against the accumulation of dead skin cells and hair. The Vasilo Mattress Protector is made by Green Sleep to work in-synch with the materials of your organic mattress. It is ideal for use by adults. The Vasilo Organic Mattress Protector is typically stocked in Queen Size and King Size at our Toronto location. When not in-stock, orders usually take between 2-3 weeks for production. While Ontario customers can expect shorter delivery times, all Canadian customers can expect delivery within 2-7 days from date of purchase (time is dependant on your location). This product qualifies for FREE shipping and handling across most locations in Canada.
Care Instructions
- Use a mild, naturally-derived soap, such as: Tide Free, Linen Wash, etc.
- Do not use any type of caustic soap, bleach or fabric softener
- Machine Wash on cool-to-moderate temperatures and gentle (delicate) cycles in a small-to-moderate load settings
- Avoid using the ‘water saver’ setting
- Machine Dry on gentle (delicate), using the lowest heat setting (cool-to-moderate temperature)
- Do not over dry
- This item can be air dried / hung dried

Title: Soft, thick and comfy. Moves with mattress. No more surface tension or bunching up. ~ Comments: I tried the typical quilted/woven sateen type mattress pad and it literally felt like plastic, even sounded plasticky. It didn’t move or stretch and completely changed the feel of the mattresses soft knit ticking. It would also bunch up in areas. It also left a pattern, imprint, on the topper after replacing it, whereas the knit pad does not. It matches the fabric. The difference is night and day. The knit pad extends the feel of the mattress/topper fabric while adding a layer of protection. It was slightly loose fitting until washing and now it fits perfectly. The only complaint is the elastic (exposed) and the color is that natural yellowish cotton color instead of white. The logo tag looks a bit cheap as well. It also took 4-5 weeks to ship. But there’s not a lot of organic knit mattress pads available as I discovered when researching it. The prices also varied a lot from $200-$400, but I was intrigued to try this one after reading about how it took three years to design with German machinery. My other top pick was Obasan but more expensive. Regardless, I would highly recommend this for anyone, especially if you have a quilted pad. It is a worthwhile investment and will dramatically change the feel of your mattress in a positive way.
