About Austin Air Allergy Machine HM405 Replacement Filter

The Austin Air Allergy Machine HM405 Replacement Filter is the second and main line of defense in all Allergy Machine HM405 Standard Air Purifiers. The Allergy Machine Standard Replacement Filter is the best overall protection filter from the Austin Air and integrates technology developed by the military. Inside of the filter resides a military-grade, carbon cloth for removing odours and gases. HM405 Standard Filters combine a High Efficiency Gas Absorption (HEGA) filter with an outer filter called a Highly Efficient Particulate Arresting (HEPA) filter. The HEPA Filter traps airborne particles, including: dirt, lint and hair. This powerful combination removes and absorbs the smallest of airborne particles and chemical gas contaminants. The Allergy Machine Standard HM405 Filter removes up to 99.97 percent of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size and 95 percent down to 0.1 micron.

All Austin Air Replacement Filter cartridges come included with a replacement pre-filter (PERMAFILT Pre-Filter). If you currently own an Austin Air machine and smell an unpleasant odour coming from the unit, or if you notice a significantly reduced airflow, it is likely time to replace your filter.
