About Austin Air Bedroom Machine HM402 Replacement Filter

The Austin Air Bedroom Machine HM402 Replacement Filter is the second and main line of defense in all Bedroom Machine HM402 Standard Air Purifiers. Previously named the National Sleep Foundation Bedroom Machine, the HM402 is the supreme filter by Austin Air. HM402 Standard Filters combine a High Efficiency Gas Absorption (HEGA) filter with an outer filter called a Highly Efficient Particulate Arresting (HEPA) filter. The HEPA Filter traps airborne particles, including: dirt, lint and hair. This powerful combination removes and absorbs the smallest of airborne particles and chemical gas contaminants. The Bedroom Machine Standard HM402 Filter removes up to 99.97 percent of all particles down to 0.3 microns in size and 95 percent down to 0.1 micron. The HM402 Standard Filter is the only filter from Austin Air that has a 5-stage filtration process.

All Austin Air Replacement Filter cartridges come included with a replacement pre-filter (PERMAFILT Pre-Filter). If you currently own an Austin Air machine and smell an unpleasant odour coming from the unit, or if you notice a significantly reduced airflow, it is likely time to replace your filter.
